Summer of Stories Has Begun!
Summer of Stories is an annual reading program for all ages at FCL that encourages you to read, find community, and be curious! Log your reading, complete community missions, and collect fun prizes.This year's program runs June 1 – August 1, 2026.
Sign up online or at either FCL location. If you participated in a previous years, you'll still need to create a new account this year, as accounts are deleted annually.
How to Participate
Read!
Earn points and prizes when you log your reading online or at the Library. Read for 10 hours to finish the reading goal. All kinds of reading count, including:
- Someone reading out loud to you
- Listening to audiobooks or Playaways
- Enjoying eAudiobooks or eBooks from our eLibrary
Having fun? Read 20 hours for a bonus prize.
Complete Community Missions
Earn points by completing three missions that help you explore the Library and connect with your community. Scroll down to view the missions.
Log Reading & Missions by 6 PM on August 1
Sign in to log the reading and missions you’ve completed to earn points and reading prizes. If you need help logging progress, stop by either FCL location.
Collect Reading Prizes
Pick up a prize at the Library when you reach each reading milestone! While supplies last. All reading prizes must be picked up by 6 PM on August 1.

Grand Prize Raffles
Use the points you earn to redeem digital raffle tickets for a chance to win a grand prize. Raffle tickets must be selected by 6 PM on August 1. View the list of grand prizes for your age on your online account.
