Farmington Community Library serves community members facing mobility, cognitive, hearing, and vision disabilites. The goal of the Disability Support Collection is to enhance the public library experience by offering accessible software, materials, and other assistive items.
Items in the collection can only be picked up at the location where they are housed. These items cannot be placed on hold, they are first-come, first-served. The items must be returned to the Circulation desk at the location they were borrowed from. Items will be checked out for 7 days, and have an option to renew for an additional week.
Funding for the items in this collection is provided in part by the Institute of Museum and Library Services through the Library of Michigan.
