April 6–12 is National Library Week!

National Library Week is an annual celebration that highlights the vital role libraries and library professionals play in transforming lives and strengthening communities.

This year’s theme is “Drawn to the Library” – a perfect opportunity to discover (or rediscover) all the reasons people are drawn to the library!

How to Celebrate at Farmington Community Library:

Pick Up a Limited-Edition Library Week Sticker

One of the things that draws us to the library is YOU! To celebrate, we’ve created something special just for this week: hand-drawn stickers by our very own graphic designer and children’s book illustrator, Sona Avedikian. These limited-edition designs are a fun way to show your library love.

Stop by the Information Desk, tell us what draws you to the library, and pick your favorite—while supplies last!

Spread the Library Love with a Tell-a-Friend Tote

Want to help someone discover the library? Grab a pre-stuffed Tell-a-Friend tote filled with goodies and information about our services. Give one to a friend or neighbor and help us spread the word! Available at both FCL locations.

Sign Up for a Library Card

An FCL card gives you access to a world of free resources all year long, including:

  • Books, movies, music, games, and educational kits
  • Electronic devices and hotspots
  • InterLibrary Loan services to borrow items from across Michigan
  • Free group meeting spaces
  • Access to professional upskilling courses on Udemy
  • Online access to The New York Times, NYT Games, and The Wall Street Journal
  • Discounted tickets to local shows, parks, and cultural attractions
